JSON/XML Editor
Paste JSON or XML data to browse and edit list items individually.
Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded to a server
How to Use
- Paste JSON or XML data into the input box, or load it with "Open File", then click "Parse" (Ctrl+Enter).
- Pick the list to edit on the left, and use search to find and select an item.
- Edit the item as JSON in the right-hand editor; changes are applied automatically when the syntax is valid. You can also add or delete items.
- When you are done, export the data in its original format (JSON/XML) with "Copy All" or "Download File".
FAQ
What kind of data can I edit?
The editor automatically finds lists (arrays) inside JSON or XML and shows them item by item. It works best for data with repeated items of the same structure, such as game data tables, config files and API responses.
Why does it say "No list (array) data found"?
Only non-empty arrays are recognized as lists. In XML, an element becomes a list only when two or more elements with the same name repeat, so a single element is not shown as a list.
How are XML attributes and text handled?
Attributes appear as "@name" keys, and the text of an element that has attributes appears as a "#text" key. They are converted back to XML attributes and text on export. Comments and CDATA sections are not preserved.
When are my edits applied, and how do I save them?
About 0.5 seconds after you stop typing, the JSON is validated and applied only if it is valid. Errors and duplicate keys are shown below the editor. Save with "Copy All" or "Download File" (data.json / data.xml, 2-space indentation).
Is there a file size limit?
There is no fixed limit, but everything is processed in browser memory, so very large files (tens of MB or more) or lists with a huge number of items may become slow.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. Your data is parsed and edited entirely inside your browser and is never sent to any server.
